About Tribal Drum Recovery and Healing

We live in a world where the human spirit is often tested—by loss and longing, fractured relationships, unhealed wounds, the grip of addiction, the ache of cultural dissonance, the weight of financial strain, and the quiet storms within our families.

These challenges can wear us down, quietly eroding our self-esteem, our confidence, and our sense of belonging. Many of us were never taught how to navigate the storms of life.

My name is Silvia Atim, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor in the state of Texas.

My journey began in the heart of Africa, among the Acholi people. As a child, the first grounding technique I ever knew was the drum. Its steady rhythm anchored us—to our emotions, our ancestors, our community, and ourselves.

To me, the drum is more than an instrument; it is a return to self. A call back to our humanity, our wholeness, and the sacred essence of being alive. That is why I chose the name Tribal Drum.

In today’s fast-paced world, there are many ways to ground ourselves. The drum is just one—but it carries an ancient truth: healing begins when we learn to listen to our own rhythm.

How can I help.

I offer a space where healing is not just a destination — it is a return to yourself. We honor your story and together begin to rewrite it with hope and intention. We breathe life back into your emotional world, allowing you to feel deeply and authentically. We challenge the beliefs that no longer serve you, and plant seeds of resilience and positive change.
